چکیده
Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) is an ad-hoc network with a fixed network infrastructure (see an example in figure 1). The physical structure of a WMN includes base stations, a backbone and mobile stations. The base stations (also known as mesh routers or mesh points) are static wireless nodes, forming the network infrastructure and providing wireless network access to the mobile stations. The backbone is a wireless ad-hoc network among the base stations. The fixed network infrastructure provides wireless network access to the mobile stations in a service area. Service area is a finite three-dimensional space. The mobile stations are wireless

Multi-hop Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) are emerging as a viable alternative solution for cost effective access networks. WMNs can fill the capacity and coverage limitation of traditional cellular, point-to-point wireless systems. In contrast to traditional cellular system, WMNs need only one access point to the wired network, while other access points share a connection over the air. Wireless ...

Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) which mediates the broadband Internet access, have been recently received many attentions by the researchers. In order to increase capacity in these networks, nodes are equipped with multiple radios tuned on multiple channels emerging multi radio multi-channel WMNs (MRMC WMNs). Therefore, a vital challenge that poses in MRMC WMNs is how to properly assign channels ...

K-connectivity-based topology control can improve fault-tolerant performance of multi-hop wireless networks. Existing algorithms mainly focused on preserving the same k-connectivity between any two nodes. However, in practical network deployments, the algorithms enforcing k-connectivity degrade network performance, when the topology requires heterogeneous nodal fault-tolerant requirements. In t...
